Christian Education Ministries

“The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11–13 (NRSV)

Purpose of Ministry:
The goal of the church’s educational ministry is that all persons be aware of God through God’s self-disclosure, especially God’s redeeming love as revealed in Jesus Christ, and, enabled by the Holy Spirit, respond in faith and love; that they may become new persons in Christ, know who they are and what their human situation means, grow as children of God rooted in the Christian community, live in obedience to the will of God in every relationship, fulfill their common vocation in the world, and abide in Christian hope.

Mission Statement:
To help leaders to determine the form and content of the teaching program. To provides leaders of the ministries with a sense of direction and a means of charting progress; and aid in the preparation of their ministry. And to offer a framework for evaluating the achievements of the overall teaching program.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because he Lord what anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that might be glorified.” Isaiah 61:1-3 (KJV)

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.  How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you. If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!” Psalm 139:19-14 (NIV)
